Having a baby is a life changing event and you are going to have to make some changes to your home and lifestyle to help make life easier when your new baby comes home from the hospital. Here are some ideas to make that transition easier on everyone involved.

Prepare a safe place for your baby to sleep. Many mothers initially sleep in the same room with their newborn babies so preparing a baby room in time for your newborns arrival is not always necessary, babies usually prefer sleeping with their mother. Many mothers prepare a safe place for their baby to sleep next to their bed such as a crib, cradle, or a co-sleeper, and some mothers simply take the baby to bed with them. There are certain precautions one has to take wherever their newborn baby sleeps. Your baby will be safest sleeping on a firm, flat mattress, and steer clear of using blankets, quilts, sheets, pillows and other forms of soft bedding around your newborn. You should also make your newborn sleep on his/her back.
